Allow reminders to repeat. Either x days / weeks after checking it off or on a set interval (every x weeks or every xth day of the month). This allows users to remind themselves to reconnect with contacts after a specific time has elapased.

Feedback from various reddit readers: dont like subscriptions and dont like to remember to cancel it. ADHD actually makes it hard. Could consider offer once payment for lifetime access.
